Labiaplasty
Labiaplasty is the surgical treatment for redundant or excess labial tissue. The redundancy may be the result of chronic irritation, exogenous androgenic hormones in infancy, congenital, or manual stretching. Women with the redundant tissue often complain of problematic hygiene, chronic skin irritation, painful sexual intercourse, and pain when wearing tight clothes.
Labiaplasty is performed through a small incision which allows the redundant unwanted skin to be removed. Dr. Longo utilizes gentle retraction and delicate handling of the tissue to reduce labia minora as needed.
